You order at a counter, eat quickly, often standing or on a stool, and the bill rarely exceeds that of an ordinary lunch. The addresses here work on that model rather than as a sit-down restaurant. It is the right format for a short lunch, a meal alone, or an appetite between two parts of the day. Two caveats: seats are often few, and the heat of the tteokbokki is not always adjustable — ask before ordering if you are sensitive to it.
